West Bloomfield, Michigan – On Monday, April 22, Earth Day, Planterra will release “Planterra at 50,” a mini documentary celebrating the company’s 50th anniversary. Founded by Larry Pliska, Planterra began as a cultural experience of the 1970s flower child movement of love and peace, which evolved into the storied corporate plant service and wedding venue that it is today. “If ten percent of the population would meditate there would be no war, and plants play a part of that,” Larry Pliska said. It’s a message that he believes continues to be relevant today. “Planterra is a love brand,” said Shane Pliska, son of Larry Pliska and the current President of Planterra. “It’s fitting that a company founded on love is now a world-famous wedding venue.”
