A maintenance contract for common plants in a typical office setting is inexpensive, usually less than what it would cost to buy your office lunch. The minimum monthly rate varies by market, but generally starts at around $125 to $150 per month, which includes regular service visits and a full warranty on plants. The mid-range for plant care and maintenance service is $300 to $500 per month. Factors that could increase the service rate include rentals, rotations, specialty features such as living walls. Labor rates and plant costs vary in each market.
For orders with standard plants and containers, you can expect a 30-day lead time from sign-off to delivery. Specialty or custom items have the longest lead times. It is important to inform us of your deadlines, so we can adjust our recommendations accordingly. Large trees over 10’ tall or custom import containers or replica plants have the longest lead times.
If a plant covered by Planterra’s Limited Warranty dies or becomes ill during the term of a maintenance contract, the plant is replaced with a new one at no additional charge. The warranty does not cover situations which are beyond Planterra’s control, such as cold damage caused by a loss of your building’s heat in the winter, all of which are defined in Planterra’s Terms and Conditions.
Most account sites are serviced on a weekly or bi-weekly schedule. The frequency depends on the plant varieties, the location and type of site or service contract. Sometimes a bi-weekly account is serviced weekly for training purposes or to monitor a new installation.

Planterra has a national account program for companies requiring plant care service nationwide. Our national account program covers all major markets in the USA and Canada.
Planterra is no longer accepting new single-family residential accounts. Multi-family apartment buildings and residential associations are considered commercial accounts.
Plants grown specifically for interior landscaping are classified as decorative foliage plants and typically do not receive enough light to bloom, and therefore produce no airborne pollen to trigger allergies. Even rotation plants which are installed with blooms, typically do not have fragrances or pollen to cause a nuisance.
Our greenhouses are not open for retail and all inventory is reserved for specific client sites. For projects requiring specimen trees, we provide photographs from the nurseries as a submittal and for larger projects, we will conduct an in-person tagging trip in Florida.
The most cost-effective office plant specifications are low-light tolerant plants that can be serviced on a bi-weekly schedule. To keep costs low, it is recommended to avoid labor situations or plants that are more labor-intensive to maintain, such as locations that have limited access times like a busy conference room, plants requiring a ladder or a lift to service or higher maintenance plants which require more care.
