Sansevieria Trifasciata

Sansevieria

The Sansevieria is one of the most popular interior plants due to its tolerance for low light and upright form that stays intact overtime. This is an excellent plant to display in planters or mass plantings. In a large grouping, the Sansevieria portrays a grass- or reed-like appearance. Historically farmed in the Caribbean to make fiber for creating rope, Sansevieria can be found growing wild on former plantation sites stretching from Puerto Rico to the Bahamas. The Sansevieria is named to honor the Italian aristocrat Raimondo di Sangro, the Prince of Sansevero.
