- Hoya is also known as the Wax Plant, because of the waxy texture of the foliage. Hybrids with curled foliage are also called Rope Plants, as the growth pattern on their vines have a similar texture to a braided rope.
- Lipstick Plants have green vines and produce blooms of red tubular flowers in bright light.
