Ficus Benghalensis

Ficus Audrey

The Ficus Audrey is a hybrid of Ficus benghalensis, which is the national tree of India. It’s also known as the Banyan Tree or Bengal Fig. In Jainism, it is said that Lord Adinath obtained enlightenment sitting under F. benghalensis. Unlike its native form, which is known for wide trunks and expressive aerial roots, the Audrey is grown in nurseries most frequently as a single trunk tree-form.
