Designer Notes
- Thick, pointed long leaves reminiscent of yuccas.
- Large specimens work well as a statement piece.
- Requires less maintenance than most palms of similar size.

The Tarzan is a cultivar of D. Marginata and has wider leaf blades and a thicker trunk. Extra-large specimen trees can develop sculptural, woody trunks. The Tarzan was first introduced as an indoor plant in the 2000s, after the cultivar was discovered in south Florida. Large-sized sculptural specimens are especially prized.
