These last two weeks have been jam packed with various private and community events at Planterra!  On the 13th we hosted over 40 area couples for our first pop up dinner for Valentines Day. DSC_0989The event sold out a month before the date and was a big success.  We are hoping to do a lot more of these events in the future so stay tuned to make sure you get tickets before they sell out!  More photos and details from the Valentines Event here on our Facebook Page.

Last week we hosted a painting class a midst our lush botanical garden to inspire the artists.

Our Marketing Coordinator, Drew was speaking in Traverse City, MI at the Michigan Recreation and Parks Association Annual Conference on the importance and uses of indoor plants in Parks and Recreation facilities.

Saturday the 20th we hosted Houseplant Guru Lisa Steinkopf who did a workshop for community residents on indoor gardening and plant care.  She spoke to over 30 attendees for about an hour and then encouraged everyone to shop for plant care products in Planterra’s newly renovated Garden Boutique.  Thank you Lisa for a wonderful lecture and your insight on plant care!  Learn more about Lisa by clicking here for her website.

As you can see Planterra is a great venue to  host either a community or private events.  We also love having community garden clubs schedule site visits for a tour and some retail therapy.  For more information on scheduling a tour and site visit please contact Drew Burns via email at
