In addition to her work as a designer, Sarah teaches and lectures on many aspects of landscape design and gardening and is a sought-after consultant in the areas of ‘cityscaping’, seasonal color display, and container design. After nearly a decade designing and overseeing the installation of indoor and outdoor gardens in New York City, Sarah relocated to Detroit, near her hometown of Ann Arbor, and joined Planterra as in-house Landscape Designer. A resident of Detroit’s east side, she is now accepting commercial and residential clients for both indoor and outdoor projects nationwide.

Danielle Ryan
Botanical Stylist

Danielle creates and designs interior landscapes for Planterra. She grew up in West Bloomfield and from a very early age has had an appreciation of the arts, culture, music and design. As a girl she played the violin for 12 years and later worked as a professional singer. She studied studio art and graphic design at Oakland University in Rochester Hills, MI. When Danielle is not working on developing interesting ways to create more peaceful, beautiful environments, she can be found sketching caricatures, or watching the latest season of runway shows from New York’s fashion week. But her most cherished times are spent with her two young boys. She loves to take them out on the lake swimming and tubing in the summer or ice skating in the winter.
