Planterra Launches 'Green is Clean' Public Service Announcements

West Bloomfield, Mich. – Planterra Corp. launched its "Greeny is Cleany" public service announcement campaign today with radio spots that will air in metropolitan Detroit.

The radio spots begin by connecting health symptoms to poor indoor air quality. Live plants are presented as the solution, citing Dr. Bill Wolverton's NASA research that recommends one medium-sized plant per every 100 square feet. The spots, which spoof pharmaceutical ads, will air throughout March on Detroit's Magic 105.1 FM.

Planterra President Larry Pliska says the ads are a response to the public's concern about indoor air quality. "At Planterra, we consider it our responsibility to inform the public and provide a means to bring people closer to nature," Pliska says. "The Green is Clean campaign is one instrument in executing those values."
